QuickBills

QuickBills for barcode billing

Barcode billing with the scanner you have

QuickBills works with any barcode scanner that types like a keyboard, which is nearly all of them, and with the camera of an Android phone or tablet.

Free for up to 100 products on one device. No card needed.

Scan, bill, done

On the Sell screen, scan a product and it is on the bill. Scan it again for two. No barcode? Type a few letters of the product’s name and tap it. Then tap Pay and choose cash, UPI, card or khata.

Scanners and cameras

  • USB scanners: plug in; nothing to install.
  • Bluetooth scanners: pair in keyboard (HID) mode.
  • The camera: on Chrome for Android, tap the barcode button and hold the packet up.

The setup guide has a scanner check that shows what each scan read. See using a barcode scanner.

Your barcodes in at once

Import your product list with barcodes from a spreadsheet. QuickBills warns you about barcodes Excel has spoiled (shown as 8.9E+12). See bringing in your product list.

Printing

58 mm and 80 mm thermal printers over Wi-Fi or a network cable, USB on a Windows computer, or Bluetooth from Chrome on Android. A cash drawer on the printer opens for cash bills. See printing bills.

Questions

Do I need a special scanner?
No. Any scanner that types the code like a keyboard works, and most do. You can also use the phone camera.
Can I print my own barcode labels?
Not from QuickBills yet. You can give your own products a code and type it in.
Does it work on an iPhone?
Billing works in the browser on any device. Bluetooth printing from an iPhone or iPad is not supported yet.
